Pernod Ricard collaboration with Repost to address timber waste challenges in the wine industry.

“Exciting news from Marlborough! We're thrilled to share our recent collaboration with Repost Ltd to address timber waste challenges in the wine industry.

Over the years, we’ve accumulated a significant number of damaged vineyard posts, which we’ve been stockpiling to ensure they don’t end up in landfill while waiting for a sustainable solution. Repost has stepped in to solve two critical problems:

1. Transforming waste into a valuable resource, contributing to a circular economy.

2. Providing farmers with cost-effective fence posts (like those pictured below), addressing both environmental and economic concerns.

It’s a win-win for sustainability and the economy! We have also been replacing wooden vineyard posts with alternatives which means that while Repost Ltd help us work through our old vineyard post piles, we won’t be accumulating as many broken posts in the future. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our efforts towards a more sustainable future.”
